Place Colombia – Cauca Valley province – Campoalegre village, near the town of Andalucía.
Description HM estimates these distinctive houses, which appear aligned at both sides of the main Campoalegre road, could date back at least to the 19th century, as he saw some of them drawn in a travelers' book. Their proprietors estimate their age in something between 70 and 100 years. The longevity of such tiny houses is something quite appealing, considering they are made up of such raw materials as palm thatch and bahareque (a plaster made up of horse manure, clay and grass among other simple elements).
